Carolyn is a freelance copywriter in Los Angeles. She’s got a shiny new Cargo site that looks fabulous. She’s divided her work into business categories: financial, auto, tech, beauty, etc. Hardly ever see that, but it’s smart for a full-time freelancer with the experience (and work) to do it.

Paula is a copywriter/CD at mono in Minneapolis, Fallon before that. She gets co-writing credit, along with Tom Sebanc, for the Holiday Inn campaign I mentioned in yesterday’s post. Just hilarious. The rest of her site is a gold mine: Blu Dot, Harvard, Sesame Street, so smart. But you absolutely have to read the print campaign for Kool-Aid (above). Pee-your-pants writing.

Ellen is a copywriter at Deep Focus NYC, previously at AKQA. Being the Janet Champ fan I am, I’m always interested in the evolution of Nike Women. Ellen has a Nike Women Asia campaign in her book that’s pretty huge. Lots of other cool stuff for Nike, Xbox and Visa, too.

Sally was a copywriter/CD at W+K, Fallon, Martin, her own shop, and then she opened a CP+B office. Since then, she’s done more with her career than 10 average copywriters combined, including writing the popular book Radical Careering (above). What else can I say? She’s Sally Hogshead. Her career is what’s possible.

Rebecca is a copywriter/ACD at AKQA NYC. Her site is super quirky fun. (Totally stole my theme song, BTW.) A little taste from her self-description: “West Virginia native but I still have most of my teeth. I’m allergic to cats, in need of a tan, and teach Easy Bake Oven cooking classes in my free time. (Very tiny meatloaves).” Want one! Don’t leave without checking out her Weird Fun page. It’s weird. And fun.

On top of page two is a site for Benjamin Moore that’s described like this: “What is the color of Rock n’ Roll? What is the color of passion? Of power? Of sound? Stephen is a copywriter/ACD at Gotham in NYC, Lowe and Ammirati before that. Go to the TELEVISION section and click on the Stella Artois spot “Femme Fatale.” I don’t know how they got the daughter to cry “Mommy!” like that. (Not sure I want to know.) But it’s sooo perfect.

Eduardo is a copywriter/ACD at Ogilvy Interactive in São Paulo. (Lots of killer sites coming to MC from São Paulo.) There’s great work up and down his blog, and Whopper Face is a biggie. But I have to call out one old school print campaign that’s just awesome. Look for the post title “Second Hand Furniture.” Tagline is “More than furniture. Witnesses.”

Liz is a copywriter/CD at Tribal DDB. So cool to see all of the different ways copywriters display their work. I was trying to think of how to describe Liz’s first five or six projects, and the word “placemats” popped into my head. Placemats with video, sound effects and links. So cool.

Tim is a copywriter/GCD/VP at Hill Holiday in Boston. There are many sites on MC that make me jealous, but this one is way up there. So much great TV. I think I’ve watched “Karate” like 30 times now. And Miller Lite “Epidemic” (I can’t taste my beer!) is just awesome.

Tim is a copywriter/ACD at BBDO in Detroit. He shares a site with art director/creative partner Steve Glinski. Much of the work on their site is GM, and you’ll recognize a lot of it. But there’s also some really great stuff I’d never seen – especially in Print. Anvil and Night Light are awesome.
