Matt Cohen

Matt is six months into his first copywriting gig, at Draftfcb Chicago. Check out the Q&A on his resumé page. Then check out the song he played for his Chicago Portfolio School graduation (in Just For Fun). Good stuff.

Lee Cristiano

Lee is a copywriter at Outcrop Communications in the Northwest Territories. He’s the only copywriter in all three territories of Canada’s North: Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut. Which means we can safely say that his site is an MC Exclusive. (Heh-heh.) Love that. Tip ‘o the Hat for holding down the fort, LC. Stay warm.

Rob Jamieson

Rob is a copywriter/CD on IBM at Ogilvy in NYC. His whole portfolio (minus one campaign) is IBM and it rocks. Some people worry about working too long on one brand. But if it’s an awesome brand, and you make awesome work, what’s better than that?

Ryan Falch

Ryan is an American copywriter in Shanghai. (Sounds like a movie to MC.) Midwestern guy studies at Brainco in Minnesota. Works at Mullen for a year. Ships off to China. Quickly becomes an award-winning Creative Group Head at Ogilvy & Mather Shanghai. In a world …

Miguel Durão

Miguel is a copywriter at Fullsix Portugal. This is a fun one. Can’t imagine what it was like on the set of his Mostra-me spot. Wow. Also, be sure to watch Miguel’s About Me video. It proves that he’s good with words in a way his work alone never could.

Josh Paialii

Josh is a copywriter at Team One in Los Angeles. He’s got a bunch of cool Lexus work on his site, but be sure not to miss Northern Trust Open: PLAY for L.A. What a fun project. What a fun 18 days.

André Toledo

André is a young copywriter at Y&R Lima (the most awarded agency in Perú, I’m told). Here are a couple of things that are nice to see in a young CW’s portfolio. One, a simple execution of a cool idea, like André’s Lady Speed Stick video. Two, the ability to take pre-existing product footage and make something out of it, like Andre’s spots for Toyota Advantage Edition. Well done.

Christian Andresen

Christian is a sr copywriter in San Diego. (MC’s first San Diego site. Hello, SD!) Interesting to compare freelance and full-time CW sites. How do we balance “hello, I’m an artist” with “hello, I’m for hire”?

David Fredette

David is a senior copywriter at HUGE in NYC. His site navs horizontally, which for some reason makes everything in it seem more important. Why is that? He’s got a tight portfolio, which you can do when it’s this strong. Just enough to make ’em say, “We gotta call this guy.”

UPDATE – Gene Albamonte

Gene is a senior copywriter/ACD at Anson-Stoner in Orlando. He’s got a shiny new Cargo site featuring a stick figure intro film that’s genius. Crazy coincidence: Jack Thoroughbred happens to be the name of my moose, too. Heh-heh.

James Kinney

James is a new copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather Chicago, after recently graduating from Chicago Portfolio School. MC loves to see what got who hired where. So, what did the honchos at O&M dig in Mr. Kinney’s book? We’re guessing his tagline/campaign for 9Lives, to start. “Live like it’s your 8th.” Yes.

Nick Maciag

Nick is an American copywriter at Clemenger BBDO in Australia. Don’t misses: student Food Network iPad idea – sliding the iPad under a clear cutting board (want it), Nationwide Insurance vid, and on his About page, Nick’s music.

Jeremy Chin

Jeremy is a West Coast freelance copywriter. He shares a site with NYC-based AD Marcio Kelmanson. Every once in a while, MC finds a site that just kicks our collective ass. This is one of those. The ideas are stellar. The writing is awesome. The art direction is beautiful.
