Ashley is graduating from Creative Circus on December 19th. Lots of great student projects and side stuff on her site. Don’t miss her spec spot for Prilosec OTC (above). “Hey there. You’re up awfully late. Something keeping you awake? You feeling hot? Is there something burning, deep down inside you? [Whispers] Is it heartburn?” Ha-ha! Dig it.

Anthony is a junior copywriter at The Garage Team Mazda in Los Angeles, after graduating from Art Center College of Design. His portfolio is still mostly student projects, including the incredibly weather-appropriate campaign for Amazon (above). No words needed.

Liz is a copywriter at LaneTerralever in Phoenix. Her new campaign for Visit Phoenix is both “unlike anything they’ve ever done before” and a breakout campaign for Liz. What’s more fun than that? Creating a project that pushes a client and is great for the portfolio? Nothing. Nothing’s more fun.

Craig is a copywriter/SVP/ACD at Team Detroit in New York. As you might guess, his site (Cargo) features lots of auto projects, including Ford, Jeep, and Chrysler. He’s also included an old-school campaign for F&M Drug Stores featuring F&M President Dale Ward. Back in the day!

Jim is a copywriter/creative director at O’Brien Advertising in Denver. His site is called The Good Endeavor, aptly titled with projects for Banner Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Colorado hospital/anti-tabacco initiatives, and QuitDoingIt.com, a cool-looking site to help young adults quit smoking.

Evan just graduated from Chicago Portfolio School (big congrats!), and spent time before that time in the Second City writing program. Always fun to see portfolios coming right out of school—when the client and creative can be anything. Like Evan’s Sugar In The Raw campaign. A whole new spin on “Come give Grandma some sugar.” Goodness.

Sharath is a copywriter at Creature in Seattle. Lots of hilariousness on his site, including projects for Oberto Beef Jerky, Microsoft Surface, and a piece for Timothy McSweeney’s Internet Tendency. MC wonders: has the tweet/social media post become the new “headline” for copywriters? Hmm …

Stephanie Taubin, Director of Creative Services at Brand Content in Boston, is on the hunt for a copywriter and a junior CW/AD team. From Stephanie: “We’re looking for smart people who create the kind of work that others wish they had. Juniors can be fresh out of ad school with a great portfolio. The other copywriter should have a year or two experience. You’ll work on everything from broadcast to print, digital to social with opportunities to work on non-profit and new business.
- A wide-ranging portfolio with solid writing or design skills and big ideas across multiple mediums
- Comfortable presenting work and selling the idea through
- Desire to do great work, win awards and grow the agency
- Hungry to learn and hungry in general – (we have bagels on Fridays and company lunch on Wednesdays)
Brand Content is a small, independent agency creating award-winning work for clients like Baileys Coffee Creamers, Monster.com, Hood and Nantucket Film Festival. We have nice people, hot coffee and cold beer. If that matters to you, let’s talk.”
Send portfolio links to Stephanie at: email@example.com

Scott is a copywriter at Sanders\Wingo in Austin. His site features lots of digital and social projects, plus 100 days of beats, his blog about technology in advertising, a video of what it’s like to be a copywriter, and a children’s book that tells the story of Scott and his girlfriend—a second grade teacher (adorbs).

Sarah is a junior copywriter at Ron Foth Advertising in Columbus, Ohio. Her book is a mix of produced work (California Academy of Sciences, Columbus Zoo & Aquarium) and student projects from her time at Chicago Portfolio School (Game of Thrones, Male Breast Cancer). She also spent time in the Second City Training Center/Comedy Writing Program and has several script excerpts up on her site. Once again proving MC’s theory that comedy, drumming and/or surfing make great copywriters.
