Freelance Copywriters Wanted (remote): Viewstream

regular-viewstream-logo-notag-highres

Andrew Assalian, VP/Marketing at Viewstream, is on the hunt for freelance writers. From Andrew: “Viewstream is an award winning digital agency for technology companies. We create marketing campaigns to engage sophisticated, technical audiences. Viewstream marketing builds brands, generates awareness and drives consideration.

We’re looking for a copywriter with B2B technology experience, especially able to grasp more technical offerings like cloud, big data, and software. Projects really vary from aspirational videos communicating big thought leadership and technology trends, to product level websites, social media and campaigns.

Copywriters will be paid on a 1099, hours will vary by the job. All work can be done remotely.”

Email Andrew with recent examples of tech and B2B work at: aassalian@viewstream.com

Cameron Day

bag

Cameron is a freelance writer/CD in Austin. He’s the son of Guy Day (co-founder of Chiat/Day) and the “PAST” page on his site is a who’s-who list of amazing clients and agencies. Clicking through his work, you see why—great writing all over the place. So what does MC choose to feature? A grocery bag, of course! It just perfectly sums up what a copywriter’s portfolio should be about. You may spend 30 years writing the hell out of everything from Super Bowl TV to Rolling Stone print, but in the end it’s that grocery bag you nailed that makes it to the top. Great writing is great writing, no matter where it appears. Love it.

Rebecca Wang

mic

Rebecca is a copywriter at R/GA in NYC. Love the headline on her site: “Copywriter—my Art Director didn’t help me with this.” (Ha! Just own it.) Her book is in that place that’s so fun to see, half student and half produced work—already got some cool projects for Verizon and Mercedes. Can’t wait to see what she does next!

Amy Creyer

claw-hand

Amy is a copywriter/ACD at Momentum in Chicago. Before becoming a copywriter, she got her start in advertising as a professional influencer. From Amy: “At the height of fashion blogging popularity my street-style blog, ChicagoStreetStyle.com, had 1.4 million annual uniques. As a one-woman content shop I landed projects with major brands like Burberry and Microsoft, and I was an official Maxxinista for T.J.Maxx. Through the process of these partnerships, I discovered that what I loved most about being creative for a living is thinking of the Big Idea. So I made the conscious decision to leave influencing and join the agency world. Here in Chicago I’ve worked at Schafer Condon Carter, FCB Chicago, and the Leo Burnett Group. Currently I’m an Associate Creative Director at Momentum Worldwide’s Chicago office, where I dream up transformative experiences for clients like Mondelez and United Airlines.” Love it.

All kinds of projects for McDonald’s on his site including Filet-O-Fish, McRib Season, Ronald McDonald House Charities, McDonald’s 60th Anniversary, and Chicagoland’s Burger Build Off (above), a cooking contest using fresh ingredients found in McDonald’s kitchens. (Turns out there are lots of fresh ingredients back there.) Perfect contest for Chicago. Next up, San Francisco? The Bay Area McD’s Fries Fry-off? Pleeeeeeease?
