James Beswick

James is a copywriter at BMF Sydney. His site URL is awoooooga.com and, as you can probably guess, there’s a ton of humor all over it. Lots of personal projects mixed in with ad work, which is cool. Love his stunt for Polycell.

Justin Ebert

Justin is a writer/CD at Saatchi NY, previously at CP+B, Vitrorobertson, Arnold and Red Tettemer. Wow, what a portfolio. Hulu with Alec Baldwin, Best Buy twelpforce, Burger King, ESPN, Miller, Volkswagen, and it keeps going like that. Love it love it love it.

Mate Nagy

Mate is an interactive copywriter in Stockholm, after recently graduating from Berghs School of Communication. (Note to self: must host Berghs Week on MC.) Lots of smart, awesome ideas on his site. Don’t miss Mercedes Future Cell, where he turns old cars into an artificial reef. Amazing job putting the video together. Wow.

Scott Reedy

Scott is a copywriter at GOOD Corps, an agency formed by GOOD Magazine, based in L.A. Great mix of stuff on his site, from Toyota’s Ideas For Good to the TMZ Fantasy Trainwreck League. Dig it.

Brian Button

Brian is a writer at AKQA in San Francisco. You know what’s fun? Clicking through someone’s portfolio, and you see they’ve got a big Tony Stewart TV spot on there, one of TBS’ Funniest Commercials of 2010. That’s first. Then, you skip down to what’s last, in the Other Stuff section, and you find a headshot of Brian on socks and tighty whities, proudly gifted to and displayed by his family at holiday time. You just. I mean. You can’t beat that.

Steve Rabosky

Steve is a copywriter/CD in Los Angeles, formerly CCO of Dailey, Saatchi LA and Ammirati London, and ECD of Chiat. Plus, one of the nicest guys in the biz. His site is so loaded with classic work for clients like Apple, Energizer and Toyota, it was nearly impossible to choose what to feature in this post. The frame above is from a Honda Fury spot. Sick.

Bob Rickert

Bob is a copywriter/CD in Boulder and a fellow Duck (go Ducks!). In his Outdoor section, he has a campaign for the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame that features “the longest copy outdoor ads in American advertising.” About 10,500 words each. That’s what we like to see on MC. Only one complaint. Wish we could zoom in to read all of those beautiful words.

Rob Jamieson

Rob is a copywriter/CD on IBM at Ogilvy in NYC. His whole portfolio (minus one campaign) is IBM and it rocks. Some people worry about working too long on one brand. But if it’s an awesome brand, and you make awesome work, what’s better than that?

Carlos Bretel

Carlos is a senior copywriter at Lápiz Leo Burnett in Chicago. Originally from Perú, he began his career in Lima, and there’s a good mix of work from both countries on his site. Check out his work for Gain. Print is amazing. Radio is funny. TV is just crazy.

Jeff Nieberding

Jeff is a copywriter at Saatchi in Los Angeles. Sometimes you see a piece in someone’s portfolio and you’re just like, “Oh wow, check out that salad car. Dangit, I want to make a salad car!”

Honorary: Diego Zambrano

Diego is a Brazilian art director/senior partner/CD at Ogilvy NYC. His site is so simple. It’s a “karaoke style reel,” plus links to Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, Contact, Store (yes, a store), and Tweet This!

Randy Quan

Randy is a copywriter at Saatchi LA. Almost everything on his site is for one brand, Toyota, but what a mix of work. So cool spending a solid chunk of time on a big brand like that. You get the knowledge and the variety. Good times.

Marcel Pozo

Marcel is a copywriter/CD at Mateo in Barcelona. Bringing you something a little different today on the old MC. A little Wednesday magic from Spain.

Alex Flint

Alex is a creative at GS&P, formerly a copywriter/CD at Saatchi and Modernista!. His portfolio is just sick. Tons of killer work for Hummer, including the It’s A Little Monster spot, which is one of my faves. Some awesome surprises too, like a print campaign for Herb Chambers Car Dealership.

Brian Thompson

Brian is a copywriter/ACD at The Concept Farm in NYC. He’s also the brains behind Ask A Copywriter. Philosophy: “I believe advertising should be a force for good. At the very least, it should be great.” Amen, brother.

John Diggins

John is a copywriter/ACD at Saatchi in Los Angeles. The work on his site is split into Online and Offline. In Online, check out the Land Cruiser site, RAV4 launch site, and Camry launch site (the remote control Camry on the landing page is FUN).

Felipe Bascope

Felipe is a copywriter/creative consultant in Los Angeles, formerly an ACD at Saatchi. He’s got a ton of great Toyota work on his site, but check out his stuff for the Surfrider Foundation. Wow.

St. Patrick’s Day: Napper Tandy

Napper is a copywriter at David & Goliath in Los Angeles, Saatchi before that. I wonder if he knows that James Napper Tandy (1740 – August 24, 1803) was a famous Irish rebel leader? Judging by the above photo, I’m guessing he does. Happy St. Patty’s Day.

Nick Gordon

Nick is a senior copywriter at Jupiter Drawing Room in Cape Town, Ogilvy and Saatchi before that. His site is MC’s first from South Africa and it’s awesome. It’s so interesting to see the humor and the vibe of South Africa in Nick’s work. Some of it, like the above print, could be right out of Europe or the States. But some of the other pieces, especially some of the TV, definitely has a different vibe.

Max Godsil

Max is a copywriter/CD in Los Angeles and part of Giant Noodle. Before going solo he was a CD at TM and Saatchi, and before that he wrote for Vitrorobertson, BBDO and Borders Perrin & Norrander. His site is one long scroll, left to right, and it’s a blast to go through. There’s a ton of great Toyota work, including the genius Unbreakable campaign that won everything. If you haven’t seen the Monster Truck spot, it’s a must.

Mark Cacciatore

Mark is a freelance copywriter/CD in NYC and part of Giant Noodle. Before going freelance, he was an ECD, GCD, CD or ACD at oneseven, Saatchi, Y&R, Ammirati, BBDO, and DDB. To go through the work on his site, you first combine two heads representing new school and old school Mark into one mutant creature. Then you grab the mutant creature’s head and slide it down through campaigns that range from classic Cheerios TV to fun interactive banners for Ford.

Ashley Davis Marshall

Ashley is a senior copywriter at Saatchi NY, GSD&M and Chiat before that. Her site is minimal. Her work is hilarious.

Troy Lim

Troy is a copywriter/CD at Ogilvy & Mather Singapore, BBDO and Saatchi before that. His work is amazing. As for his site – there are two, a new site and an old site. It’s really interesting to compare them. Portfolio sites seem to fall into two general camps. One, get out of the way and showcase the work. Two, create a site that’s a piece in itself. Troy’s new site is in the first camp, a clean blog that’s super easy to nav. His old site is in the latter camp, and is both gorgeous and fun to play around on.

Jake Benjamin

Jake is a copywriter at Goodby in San Francisco, Saatchi NY before that. Good writers have the ability to shed themselves and write in character. Good copywriters have the ability to shed themselves and write in brand. (I just made that up. Deep!) Stepping through Jake’s book, he just nails brand after brand. His Tide campaign is clean. His ASPCA campaign is heartbreaking. His Fruit By The Foot ad is fun. His Hyundai campaign is a Cannes Lions 2009 Titanium Award Winner.

Aryan Aminzadeh

Aryan is a freelance copywriter in L.A., David & Goliath and Saatchi before going solo. There’s a crazy variety of clients represented on her site: bowling, casino, cough suppressant, beer, Freddy Krueger at Universal Studios (above print ad is from that campaign). Looove the lorem ipsum home page.
