Rod Goodman

Rod is a copywriter/CD in Louisville who’s been doing the contract/freelance thing for awhile now. It’s interesting to see how permalancers market themselves through their portfolio sites—the difference between selling your skills to land clients/projects versus landing a job. The work is the work, but how it’s presented is so different.

Brad Roseberry

Brad is a copywriter/Global CD for Accenture at TBWA Chiat/Day NYC. His resume is sick: Chiat, W+K, GS+P, BBDO, 180. His site is loaded with big campaigns for monster clients like Pepsi, GE, Adidas, Old Navy, and includes a couple of classics for Got Milk? and Airwalk. Good times.

UPDATE: Jon Arnold

Jon is a VP/CD/AD at BOHAN in Nashville. (Previous post on 12.19.11.) We honor ADs here on MC who honor words, and clicking through Jon’s work there’s no doubt about that. Since his last post on MC, he’s updated his site with a new tumblr design and it looks H.O.T. Love it. Definitely worth an update.

Erik Fahrenkopf

Erik is a copywriter/CD at Goodby in San Francisco. He shares a portfolio site with partner/AD Anthony Decarolis, and their work is just ridiculous awesome. MC had a tough time selecting which piece to feature, but you can’t go wrong with Cheetos Flamin’ Hot fingers dialing 911. Brilliant.

UPDATE: Greg Gerstner

Greg is a copywriter/CD at Ogilvy NY. He’s got a brand new site and a bunch of new work to go with it, including an interactive touch wall for IBM at the US Open, and three new spots for IBM. But honestly, there’s so much killer work in Greg’s portfolio, any excuse to post it again is a good excuse.

Steve Rabosky

Steve is a copywriter/CD in Los Angeles, formerly CCO of Dailey, Saatchi LA and Ammirati London, and ECD of Chiat. Plus, one of the nicest guys in the biz. His site is so loaded with classic work for clients like Apple, Energizer and Toyota, it was nearly impossible to choose what to feature in this post. The frame above is from a Honda Fury spot. Sick.

Aimee Lehto

Aimee is a copywriter/ACD in Chicago. Her site was submitted by fellow CW Mike Tuton (big ups), and it’s easy to see why. All kids of awesome work for a cool variety of clients like Adidas, Sorel, Tilex, Piperllime and Chipotle. She’s also started a new card company called Brain Surgeons & Rocket Scientists (link below). Love it.

Bob Rickert

Bob is a copywriter/CD in Boulder and a fellow Duck (go Ducks!). In his Outdoor section, he has a campaign for the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame that features “the longest copy outdoor ads in American advertising.” About 10,500 words each. That’s what we like to see on MC. Only one complaint. Wish we could zoom in to read all of those beautiful words.

UPDATE: Chris Ford

Friend of MC, genius copywriter and brilliant human being Chris Ford is back in the States (and the Bay Area) as CCO at Draftfcb. He’s also got a new Cargo site that’s just loaded. Welcome home, Ford.

Jason Rappaport

Jason is a copywriter/ACD/VP at McCann in Los Angeles. MC saved this one special for the holiday, because it’s deep (22 projects) and fun. Think of it as an excuse for getting away from the fam for a little breather. “Going to go down to the basement for a few, Uncle Herm. Got to check out this big portfolio site.” Don’t forget to grab a bottle of something on your way down. And a turkey leg.

Isaac Silverglate

Isaac is a copywriter/ACD at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco, previously at Droga5 in NYC. His link was sent in by David Roth (thanks, man) and MC knows why. Because it’s ridiculous awesome. Every once in a while, you click through a CW’s portfolio site and think to yourself, “No way. No way did a client let them do that. No way did a client pay for that.” This is one of those. Start with Combos TV. “What your Mom would feed you if your Mom were a man.” No way.

Anne Sanguinetti

Anne is a copywriter at Martin in Richmond. She’s also an Oregon grad (go Ducks!), plus her last name is Sanguinetti, which means that she’s probably going to be a huge star. You can see it already with her Walmart, Pedigree, Tap, and L.A. Times campaigns. Brilliant.

Greg Gerstner

Greg is a copywriter/ACD at Ogilvy NYC. Love how his site is written. Nothing on the home page, just clean. History and Honors is thorough but minimal. For each campaign, there’s just the right amount of set-up (when set-up is needed). And credits are fully blown-out, awards show-style.

Jim Real

Jim is a copywriter/CD in Los Angeles. His site is hosted on Krop. Love how the horizontal slider lets you nav through integrated campaigns quick and easy. Each starts with a simple set-up card, then goes big pieces to outer reaches. He’s also got a deep radio selection, which has become a rarity on writer sites. Tip o’ the Hat.

Jon Murray

Jon is a copywriter at BBDO Toronto. His site is, as he described it, “not very jazzy.” Which makes it, one could argue, a very copywriter-ish site. Click through the un-jazziness and check out the work for the Vancouver International Film Festival. Awesome.

Honorary: Jon Arnold

Jon is an art director/designer/creative director at BOHAN in Nashville. His site is called Coolville, and that it is, especially his work for the United Methodist Church. Wow. Love the Fine Living spots, too. Says Jon about his portfolio, “My work is only as good as the writing i’ve been blessed enough to have been given.” Honorary MC post, ding!

Christine Call

Christine is a copywriter at Deutsch. She shares a site with art director Clemente Bornacelli. They’ve done some cool work for VISA, including pieces of the Go World campaign for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Their site is hosted on Cargo and presented as verbs (above), except “???” which are their answers to James Lipton’s 10 questions. Christine’s favorite curse word: “Douchebag.”

Laurence Gega

Laurence is a copywriter at Berlin Cameron United in NYC. He shares a site with creative partner/AD Jason Slack. There’s a bunch of killer work on their site for the NHL, Land Rover, Snickers, Kindle, etc., but I just had to feature the awesomeness above from their “not advertising” section, labeled simply “World’s Greatest Ad.”

Charlie Stephenson

Charlie is a senior copywriter at TBWA Chiat/Day, formerly at 72 and Sunny. There’s plenty of killer work for Zune on his site – including wicked video. But MC’s fave is a trophy for Charlie’s band Honchie featuring a plaque that reads, “International World Champions of Rock Music Honchie”. Sick.

Chris DeNinno

Chris is a senior copywriter at TBWA Chiat/Day in Los Angeles. From his landing page: “For more than a decade Chris has been privileged enough to uphold the coveted duty of working in the highly respected, virtually stress-free, incredibly glamourous field of advertising.” And survived.

Nathan Archambault

Nathan is a copywriter at AKQA NY. I learn something from almost every portfolio site I visit. From Nathan’s, I learned exactly what I’m going to do in about 10 years, when my daughter starts dating. (Portfolio: TV/Radio: first spot) Thank you, Nathan.

Zach Watkins

Zach is a copywriter at W+K Amsterdam. Q: How many projects do you need to show on a portfolio site? Zach’s got five on his. They’re all awesome. From those five, you know he’s awesome. A: Five.

Josh Gold

Josh is a copywriter/CD in NYC, previously at DDB, Martin, W+K, TBWA Chiat, and GS&P. Once again proving MC’s theory that surfers make stellar copywriters.

Scott Wild

Scott is a copywriter/CD in Chicago, previously at CP+B, Cramer Krasselt, Chiat Day, GS&P, Leagas Delaney, and W+K. His site is divided into two halves: Writer and Creative Director. Both are just stellar.

Albert Kelly

Albert is a copywriter/CD previously at Fallon, Strawberry Frog, GS&P, and just holy crap wow. Uncork a bottle and lock the doors. His site is The Motherload.
