Kathy is a freelance copywriter/CD in Los Angeles. She’s spent time at W+K, The Martin Agency, and TBWA Chiat/Day. She’s also a novelist. Like, a Los Angeles Times Bestselling-slash-Penn Faulkner Awards West Finalist novelist.

Laura is a copywriter/CD at JWT in NYC, Cliff Freeman before that. On her site you’ll find The Most Interesting Man In The World, what it means to be Gingery, and one of my fave all-time spots for Mercedes, “Re-incarnation.”

André is a copywriter at Almap BBDO in São Paulo. There’s so much to love on his site (including the site itself, which looks like a Word doc). My fave is the Discovery Channel spot “In A Man’s Life.” Flat-out awesome writing.

Edu is an interactive copywriter/CD at Wieden + Kennedy in Amsterdam, CP+B before that. He speaks Spanish, Catalin, English and French. His CV is three pages long, second page being every awards show you ever wanted to be in, the third page being a list of shows he’s judged and industry presentations he’s given. In addition, his site has been recommended to MC by two fabulous copywriter/CDs who tell me that Edu is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Sheesh!

Jon is a freelance copywriter in NYC, formerly at Amalgamated. Don’t misses: Rapcat for Checkers, Court TV outdoor, FUSE afternoon re-branding, and Clearblue Easy TV. So much awesome.

Emiliano is a copywriter/CD at TBWA Berlin. On his site you’ll find a goalkeeper Ferris Wheel, Obama’s image on a latte, and oh so many reasons to wish you were writing in Europe rather than the States.

Ryan is a copywriter at Pocket Hercules in Minneapolis, Hunt Adkins before that. It’s so refreshing to see a new school copywriter’s book (with a good media mix) filled with old school, kick ass headlines.

Jackie is a copywriter at Draftfcb in San Francisco, Arnold before that. Her site is built with Indexhibit, which is clean and easy to nav. Check out her digital installation for Citizens Bank. Good times.

Josh is a freelance copywriter in San Francisco. He graduated from VCU in 2006, interned at AKQA and did some time at Arnold. The first thing in his portfolio is the “Carnival Interactive Aquarium” and it’s just ridiculous awesome.

David is a copywriter at CP+B in Boulder, Amalgamated before that. Going through the work on his site, I found myself saying the same two words over and over again: “No … way …”

Kevin is a copywriter at The Martin Agency in Richmond. If you’re a fan of long copy, you must click over to his site and read the above print ad immediately.

Rich is a freelance copywriter/CD in Los Angeles. Before going solo, he was at Y&R, TBWA Chiat/Day, Team One and BBDO. He’s responsible for the above ABC campaign, which Creativity Mag named one of 20 that changed the face of advertising. You know, for me there’s just something magic about the big outdoor campaigns. I remember exactly where I was the first time I saw one of Rich’s ABC boards, on 101 South in San Francisco. I still remember thinking, “Oh man, look at THAT.”

Craig is a freelance copywriter/CD in Dallas and part of Giant Noodle. Before going freelance, he was ECD/Managing Partner of DDB Dallas, EVP/CD at Flavour, and SVP/ECD at BBDO Toronto. Craig’s site is in-the-making, so you may find an unfinished corner here or a locked door there. And you have to register to view his resumé. But no worries, it’s deep enough to go exploring as is, and I’ve already given you the gist of the rez. To me, someone who hasn’t ventured into the ECD/SVP/MP acronyms yet, one of the coolest things about the site is that you see CD Craig as much as you see CW Craig. He calls out exactly what his role was on each project. Love that.

Max is a copywriter/CD in Los Angeles and part of Giant Noodle. Before going solo he was a CD at TM and Saatchi, and before that he wrote for Vitrorobertson, BBDO and Borders Perrin & Norrander. His site is one long scroll, left to right, and it’s a blast to go through. There’s a ton of great Toyota work, including the genius Unbreakable campaign that won everything. If you haven’t seen the Monster Truck spot, it’s a must.

Chad is a freelance copywriter/CD/social brand innovator/entrepreneur in Portland. Before all that, he was a CD at W+K, founder/CD of 86 the onions, and a senior creative at KesselsKramer (Amsterdam), Mother (London), and Pyro (Dallas). Remember Wizard of Oz, when the witch melted? That’s gonna be your brain after about 15 minutes on Chad’s site. I don’t even … I’m not sure if I … but what about … pure awesome.

David is a freelance copywriter/CD in Richmond, VA, and part of Giant Noodle. Before going solo, he was a CD at Y&R and an ACD at Phillips Ramsey. My fave part of his site was watching the first thing on his reel, a classic Jaguar spot, and the last thing on his reel, an SNL skit that includes a parody of the spot. Screw awards. If SNL does your spot, you win.

Mark is a freelance copywriter/CD in NYC and part of Giant Noodle. Before going freelance, he was an ECD, GCD, CD or ACD at oneseven, Saatchi, Y&R, Ammirati, BBDO, and DDB. To go through the work on his site, you first combine two heads representing new school and old school Mark into one mutant creature. Then you grab the mutant creature’s head and slide it down through campaigns that range from classic Cheerios TV to fun interactive banners for Ford.

Mark is a copywriter at Razor in Addison, TX. (Addison! Holla!) His site begins with a Domino’s FSI and then just explodes. It’s creative madness. It’s all over the place. It’s so fresh.

Lisa is a freelance copywriter in Boston, and was at Arnold before going solo. One of my faves from her site is a simple little game called Toothpick Javelin. Maybe it’s my Italian heritage, a genetic thing, but I couldn’t stop until I got all four toothpicks into the top tray of meatballs. Stupid toothpicks! Then I had to go across the street to Zelo and get a plate of spaghetti for lunch.

Linda is a freelance copywriter in Minneapolis. Before going solo she spent time at Carmichael Lynch, Martin/Williams and Fallon. There’s a smart, gritty edge to a lot of her work: Harley-Davidson, Museum of Death, E*Trade, Mediawise, awesomeness.

Jed is a freelance copywriter/CD in Portland, after 12-ish years as a CD at Wieden + Kennedy. If you’ve ever thought this would be an easy little blog to run, if you’ve ever thought, “Oh man, that Siciliano guy has it good!” I simply ask you to go browse Jed’s site and tell me which one piece you would choose to feature. Impossible. This is a brilliant portfolio.

Brian is a freelance copywriter/CD in Minneapolis. Before going solo he spent time at Fallon (Group CD), CP+B, Carmichael Lynch, and Martin/Williams. Books don’t get much better than this, and I’ll just leave it at that. [Pause] Okay, one more thing. I remember first seeing the above outdoor board with my art director when I was still in SF. We both just freaked out. One of my fave lines EVER. Okay. Done now.
