Creative Circus Week Fall 2015 kicks off with Hilary Smith, now a junior writer at 72andSunny in Los Angeles. Ever wonder what kind of portfolio you need to land your first copywriting gig at one of the best agencies on the planet? Wonder no longer. Big congrats, Hilary.

Teddy is a copywriter at 72andSunny in Los Angeles. Teddy didn’t go to ad school, 72 is his first CW gig, and he’s been there three years. What’s that portfolio look like? Awesome. All kinds of killer work for ESPN, K-Swiss and Carl’s Jr on his site. Love it.

Matt is a copywriter/Creative Executive at CAA in Los Angeles. He’s been busy since his last MC post about a year ago, including a stint on the writing team of Eastbound & Down Season 3, stemming from the ad work he did for the show. (Awesome.) Don’t miss his Fake Craigslist Ads, especially the last one, “I don’t like the baby we adopted (Beverly Hills)” and his subsequent visit from non-fake police detectives. Hilarious.

Matt is a freelance copywriter in Los Angeles. His link was sent in by friend of MC, Karyn Campbell (at IdeaLists). The work on his site made me shoot coffee out my nose.

Mick is a copywriter/CD at 72andSunny in LA. His site is loaded, including ridiculous work for Carl’s Jr. like the above Paris spot, and a patty melt campaign called Flat Buns. Another cool thing about Mick’s site are the press links for each campaign. Instead of talking about hype, he shows it. Love that.

Charlie is a senior copywriter at TBWA Chiat/Day, formerly at 72 and Sunny. There’s plenty of killer work for Zune on his site – including wicked video. But MC’s fave is a trophy for Charlie’s band Honchie featuring a plaque that reads, “International World Champions of Rock Music Honchie”. Sick.

Andy is a copywriter at 72 and Sunny in Los Angeles, Modernista! and Euro RSCG before that. His site is a blast. Make sure you click on The Info and then, bottom of the page, The Fail. Andy can’t dunk.
