Evan Dunn

41_bakeryc

Evan is a copywriter at Arnold Boston, been there since 2010. Little tangent here. After clicking through Evan’s site (good stuff!), MC kept going back to his Volvo Summer project. Is it completely cliché that MC now wants a 1966 Volvo P1800? Is it too “thirtysomething” Micheal Steadman? Probably. But that’s a NICE car.

Richard Tseng

Rich is a copywriter in Boston, formerly at Arnold. Actually, he was recently let go by Arnold, which would be a bummer for anyone. However, Rich took the opportunity to write his colleagues a good-bye email that is, in his words, “at least as good as any of the other stuff I wrote while I was there.” Check out his email on AgencySpy here. Or check out his other stuff by clicking on the link below.

Roger Fish

Roger is a copywriter at Arnold Boston. Each of the campaigns on his site is represented by a TV star of the 80’s. Funny. I spent a few minutes trying to determine if there was some link between a star and his/her campaign, but quit when I hit Alf for Progressive Truck Insurance. In addition to work for Progressive, Carnival and McDonald’s, Roger’s got a little stand-up on his site. Once again proving MC’s theory that surfers, drummers and comedians make awesome copywriters.

Jason Siciliano

MC is two years old this month. To celebrate, I’m doing something I’ve never done before. I’m posting my own site. Which is both exciting and terrifying. To everyone who’s sent a link to MC over the past two years, the CWs, friends of CWs, schools, students, CDs, ADs, spouses, and that one Mom, thank you. It’s been a blast. Let’s keep it going.

Andrew Payton

Andrew is a copywriter/CD at R/GA in NYC. What a crazy fun mix of work on his site, including tons of great digital. Be sure to click on “Intel, Web Film, Changed” (top row, third from right). We all have moments as copywriters, moments when we know we’ve made it. Like when you’ve hired a rock band and paid them however much to set up on the 10th floor of an office building and crank out a song about middle management I.T. Good stuff.

Jeff Van Zandt

Jeff is a copywriter/ACD at Cramer-Krasselt in Milwaukee. (Brand new gig, big congrats Jeff.) Check out this note to Jeff from Jason Alexander, after Jason received Jeff’s first script for his Jenny Craig Video Blog, “Jeff, I am literally blown away. Brilliant. I couldn’t have said it better. You truly got my voice down. I have no notes and anyone who knows me knows that is a first. It’s perfect. Go with it and thank you. If I ever run for office you are hired as my official speechwriter. Happy holidays. I’m telling my wife that I am blown away or in the words of George, ‘I am speechless. I am without speech’.” Nice.

Niels West

Niels is a senior copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather NY. (He’s also a fellow Oregon Duck. Go Ducks!) Lots of cool stuff on his site, including work for IBM, UN Climate Change Conference, US Open, and the Office of National Drug Control Policy. By the way – how great does Vimeo HD video look? Now that you can watch Vimeo on iPhone, it may be time to officially crown it as the best option for portfolios.

Chris Jacobs

Chris is a copywriter at Arnold, previously at Butler Shine and W+K. About the above ad, Chris writes: “Our campaign for Old Spice Hair & Body Wash pioneered the quasi-science of Hairchetypology. The print work reveals the known hairchetypes, while the online work encourages users to discover their own hair/body profile and what it says about them.” Name a better job than copywriter. Dare you.

Will Chambliss

Will is a copywriter/ACD at Arnold Boston. He shares a site with art director/ACD partner Rob Kottkamp. I can count on two hands the number of team portfolio sites on MC. (Maybe one hand?) Career creative teams have become rare. Will and Rob’s site shows what we’re missing. Tip ‘o the Hat.

Mike Howard

Mike is a copywriter/ACD at Arnold Boston, Butler Shine and CP+B before that. One of the things I like best about blog portfolio sites is how deep you can go, how much work you can show, without bogging down visitors with a billion clicks. Mike’s done a ton of killer work and his site is way deep. The blog format makes it fun to go exploring. Check out a Volvo piece here, BK there, Truth, Epson, VW, Earthlink, Monster, Puma, Miller Lite …

Amy Hollrah

Amy is a copywriter/ACD at Hoffman York in Chicago after doing time at Leo Burnett, Cramer-Krasselt and Arnold. She wrote a spot for the Broan Ultra Silent Fan that I’ve seen about a zillion times (yes, I watch HGTV), and there’s a moment at the end that cracks me up. In the version on her site, they let that moment play out. Fun.

Wade Paschall

Wade is a copywriter/CD in Boston, formerly a VP/GCD at Arnold. When you land on his site, you’ll see a pencil with his name on it, and right and left arrows. I recommend you go to the upper right hand corner of the screen and click the arrow way up there, then click on Print as Writer and start with Urban Decay. Just gorgeous writing. “My beautiful ten soldiers.” Love love love it.

Lisa Taylor

Lisa is a freelance copywriter in Boston, and was at Arnold before going solo. One of my faves from her site is a simple little game called Toothpick Javelin. Maybe it’s my Italian heritage, a genetic thing, but I couldn’t stop until I got all four toothpicks into the top tray of meatballs. Stupid toothpicks! Then I had to go across the street to Zelo and get a plate of spaghetti for lunch.
