Andrei Slobtsov

corona

Andrei is a designer/art director who is moving to Portland, OR in September. From Andrei: “I’m a conceptual designer and an art director, making things in advertising, branding, interactive design and all the gray areas in between. Originally from Moscow, Russia I moved to the US 12 years ago. I started my career in Milwaukee, WI as a brand art director. Last six years I spent in Chicago and I’m currently working at Cramer-Krasselt on Porsche, Corona, and Edward Jones. While I absolutely loved my time in Chicago and CK, my wife and I are jumping into a new adventure this September and we are moving to Portland, OR.” Can’t wait to see where Andrei lands!

Bob Meagher

geicolafont

Bob is a freelance copywriter/CD in Richmond, VA, previously at the Martin Agency (for 28 years). Honored to have him up on MC! So many amazing projects on his site. Few things not to miss: the buzz clips reel at the end of the Geico “Good News” project page, Peter Frampton introducing Bob’s reel on his About page, and Kozy Shack Pudding “World’s Worst Jingle” on his radio page. So bad. So good.

Andrei Chahine

miley-sprinkles_wildposting_melrose_stanley-final

Andrei is a copywriter/VP, Brand Creative Director at MTV in NYC, which sounds like the coolest job ever. Since his last post on MC back on 03.02.12, Andrei moved to New York, worked at Anomaly and Grey, and now leads MTV’s in-house creative department. He’s also added all kinds of new work to his portfolio, including MTV VMA campaigns (for which he’s won a bunch of Cannes Lions). Time for an update!

Craig Likhite, Vice President/Creative Manager at CK Chicago, is on the hunt for an ACD/CD-level copywriter to work on their Porsche account (awesome). From Craig: “This is the most emotional car brand in the world. We sell the dream of Porsche. It’s also one of the most advanced car brands in the world. So we also sell the performance of Porsche. The two are forever linked. We create giant content generating events. We create 90 second cinema films. We create 5 second Facebook films. Ari Levi

tweetone

Ari is a copywriter/ACD in Boulder, recently at Victors & Spoils, now full-time freelance and available for hire. His Squarespace site is divided into four sections: Print, TV/Videos, Interactive, and Integrated. In Interactive, don’t miss his case study for JCPenny #tweetingwithmittens. Genius.

Rich Black

porsche

Rich is a copywriter/ACD at Downtown Partners Chicago. Since his last post on MC five years ago (04.03.10, has it really been that long?), Rich has spent time at Cramer-Krasselt as the lead writer on Porsche—I really hope that means he got to drive one for free—and then moved to Downtown Partners. And took his Cayman with him??

Dave Gordon

duo

Dave is a copywriter at Saatchi & Saatchi NY. He shares a site with creative partner/AD Juan Leguizamon (both are pictured above, auditioning for their CW/AD roles, funny), called shoot-1st.com. From their About page: “We believe in burning midnight oil for work we believe in and that the best way to do something is to stop talking about it and do it.” Amen, brother.

UPDATE: Will Bright

bmw

Will is a copywriter/CD in NYC. Since his last post on MC (05.24.2012), he’s got a ton of new work up on his site, including the above spot for the new BMWi launch that’s running during the Olympics—which kicked off this weekend in Sochi. In fact, MC just saw it while watching Luge. Dig it.

G. Andrew Meyer

G. Andrew is a copywriter/EVP/ECD at Leo Burnett Chicago. As you can probably guess by the title, his site is loaded with killer work—for clients like Altoids, Corona, Samsung, and Starbucks. His stuff for Altoids could be a dynamite portfolio all by itself. Love it love it love it.

UPDATE: Tom Archer

Tom is a senior copywriter at Cramer-Krasselt in Milwaukee. (Previous post 2.09.11.) He’s updated some things and got some new work up, so it’s time for an update. One thing that didn’t change is his site URL. One of the best ever.

CW Wanted: Cramer-Krasselt Chicago

Craig Likhite, Vice President/Creative Manager at CK Chicago, is looking for a mid-level copywriter to work on Corona, Panera, Hilton, Cedar Fair, Porsche, and other (awesome) accounts. From Craig: “CK is looking for a mid-level copywriter. What’s a mid-level copywriter? You’ve done some things. You’d like to do more things. Some of your things are good. You’d like your next ones to be great. You’ve worked on this and that. You’re looking to work on this, that and the other. TV. Radio. Digital. Whatever. The more curious, the better. Oh, and mid-level copywriters can’t be assholes. They have to be seniors to be assholes.” Amen. If you’re interested, contact Craig directly at the address below.

Will Bright

Will is a copywriter/CD at Kirshenbaum in New York. So much killer work in his book, including a ton of stuff for BMW. His site is Cargo, and is broken out into six categories: Latest Work, Branded Content, Web, TV, Print/OOH, and Case Studies. Interesting, because you can view the work by media (old school) or by case study/campaign (new school) or just check out the latest. All in six links. Very cool.

Andrei Chahine

Andrei is a senior copywriter at Energy BBDO in Chicago. As MC regulars know, I sometimes get a little jealous of Chicago CWs. Of their accounts, specifically. Like Altoids, Orbit and Corona in Andrei’s book. Two Corona beach shoots. Plus a Corona beach microsite (a classic). Arrrrg.

Bill Hollister

Bill is a copywriter/CD in Portland. His portfolio is loaded with awesome campaigns (and a killer one-shot for VW), including some great pro-bono work, which MC loves. Don’t miss the Jack in the Box spot with Jack at his in-laws. Hilarious. So been there.

Jeff Van Zandt

Jeff is a copywriter/ACD at Cramer-Krasselt in Milwaukee. (Brand new gig, big congrats Jeff.) Check out this note to Jeff from Jason Alexander, after Jason received Jeff’s first script for his Jenny Craig Video Blog, “Jeff, I am literally blown away. Brilliant. I couldn’t have said it better. You truly got my voice down. I have no notes and anyone who knows me knows that is a first. It’s perfect. Go with it and thank you. If I ever run for office you are hired as my official speechwriter. Happy holidays. I’m telling my wife that I am blown away or in the words of George, ‘I am speechless. I am without speech’.” Nice.

Gene Albamonte

Gene is a senior copywriter/ACD at Anson-Stoner in Orlando. Most copywriters, it’s probably fair to say, enjoy the “writer” portion of the word “copywriter” more than the “copy” portion. Advertising is good, but writing is what it’s all about. Take a stroll through Gene’s site, you’ll see.

Scott Wild

Scott is a copywriter/CD in Chicago, previously at CP+B, Cramer Krasselt, Chiat Day, GS&P, Leagas Delaney, and W+K. His site is divided into two halves: Writer and Creative Director. Both are just stellar.

John Reid

John is a copywriter/ACD at Butler Shine, CP+B and Cramer Krasselt before that. This, my friends, is a perfect Friday post. John’s got 20 killer projects on his site, some of them with as many as 10 pieces. Enough for Saturday and Sunday, too.
