Sharath Verghese

Sharath is a senior copywriter at Mekanism in NYC. Since his last post on MC (back on 04.04.2016), he’s added all kinds of killer projects to his portfolio. Don’t miss the first one on his site, The Date for Jose Cuervo. So painful (in a painfully good way). Also, be sure to check out his campaign for Peloton: “Contrary to popular perception, Peloton’s ridership isn’t exclusively comprised of skinny, rich, white people who live in lens-flare prone penthouses. In reality, their members are as unique and diverse as the reasons they ride. So, for the company’s first ever global brand campaign, we found some real-ass Peloton members and filmed them in their real-ass homes as they talked about the real-ass reasons they ride their stationary-ass bicycles!” So good.

Jasmin Sun

Jasmin is a copywriter/ACD at Mekanism in San Francisco and a recovering food writer. (From her About page: “Email me for unsolicited opinions about pho, barbeque, or how to make a proper Negroni.” Negronis are so good, MC may have to do that.) All kinds of cool projects in her portfolio for brands like Franzia (above, for National Picnic Day), Aetna, Crest, Dropbox, St Ives, Quaker Oats, Pure Leaf, NikeWomen, and more. Dig it.

Ben Santoriello

Smith

Since his last post on MC a little over two years ago (01.26.15), Ben has gone freelance and added a bunch of new work to his site—including “Amanda Cerny 19th Century Striptease” for Smith & Forge Hard Cider (above). Nice. Ben also does VO work, including national TV campaigns for Old Dominion, McDonald’s, and 24 Hour Fitness. Time for an update!

Gino Click

Gino is a copywriter in San Francisco, previously a Social Media Copywriter at Mekanism. If you’re like MC, you found that title interesting. Social Media Copywriter is awesome on your rez, for sure. And there are killer examples of it on Gino’s site. But does that mean no writing traditional or digital while in that position? Does it mean no social media for the rest of us? Hmm.
