Eric is a copywriter/ACD who just moved from Minneapolis to Portland (and is looking for freelance or full-time). Lots of killer headlines up and down his portfolio, including projects for Raymond James, Kubota, and Wolverine (above). Don’t miss his genius Finnegans Reverse Food Truck. Or his Forever 21 Hologram Runway, so cool.

Since his last post on MC (03.26.12), Jim has moved from Portland to SoCal and added some new work to his site. Time for an update! It should also be noted that Jim is an Oregon grad, as is MC. So, while he’s now living the high life in Hermosa Beach or wherever, his head is firmly on the ground. Or his feet. No, his feet are in the sand. His head, then. On the ground. (Ahem.) Go Ducks!

Taylor is a copywriter/acd at R/West in Portland. After checking out his portfolio (don’t miss the First Tech spot with the pen, “A pen. Notice anything different about it? No chain attached.” Yes.), click over to his Culture page and behold Cruisedays On The Roof, which is all about watching Tom Cruise movies on the agency roof. (See Ice Man ice sculpture above.) Warning: there’s a tight-whitey shot halfway down the page.

Miguel is a copywriter at Fullsix Portugal. This is a fun one. Can’t imagine what it was like on the set of his Mostra-me spot. Wow. Also, be sure to watch Miguel’s About Me video. It proves that he’s good with words in a way his work alone never could.

Chad is a freelance copywriter/CD/social brand innovator/entrepreneur in Portland. Before all that, he was a CD at W+K, founder/CD of 86 the onions, and a senior creative at KesselsKramer (Amsterdam), Mother (London), and Pyro (Dallas). Remember Wizard of Oz, when the witch melted? That’s gonna be your brain after about 15 minutes on Chad’s site. I don’t even … I’m not sure if I … but what about … pure awesome.

Jed is a freelance copywriter/CD in Portland, after 12-ish years as a CD at Wieden + Kennedy. If you’ve ever thought this would be an easy little blog to run, if you’ve ever thought, “Oh man, that Siciliano guy has it good!” I simply ask you to go browse Jed’s site and tell me which one piece you would choose to feature. Impossible. This is a brilliant portfolio.

Jessica is a freelance copywriter in Portland, Wieden + Kennedy before that. It’s no secret that I’m a huge Janet Champ fan. So, I do not give out the following compliment lightly. Jessica’s ideas and writing, while completely her own, give me goosebumps in the same way Janet’s do. Her work is honest and beautiful and inspiring and awesome.

Janet Champ is the reason I’m a copywriter. Period. When I was in Journalism School at U of Oregon, she and AD Charlotte Moore were changing advertising forever with one unbelievably brilliant campaign for Nike Women. For my money, Janet Champ is the best copywriter to ever put a pen to paper.
