Mark is a senior integrated copywriter at MDG in Boca Raton, Florida. He’s gone full Florida 80’s retro with both the URL and design of his site, including the tag: “Creating Words and Ideas in America’s Weirdest State.” That’s a lot of portfolio site bravery, Mr. Trueblood. Respect.

Tommy is a junior copywriter at Marc USA in Chicago. His site currently has three agency projects and the rest is student work, which MC loves to see. (What kind of work did Tommy do as a student? How does that translate to his first agency gig?) Tommy is a graduate of Brainco’s online program, and might just be the first agency copywriter who attended a completely online portfolio school. Interesting!

Reid is a senior copywriter moving to NYC from Minneapolis in June. (Congrats!) Leave it to someone from Minnesota to come up with the idea of asking a guy to live in a snow globe as the agency holiday stunt (above, for McKinney). Too perfect.

Rich is a copywriter/ACD at Downtown Partners Chicago. Since his last post on MC five years ago (04.03.10, has it really been that long?), Rich has spent time at Cramer-Krasselt as the lead writer on Porsche—I really hope that means he got to drive one for free—and then moved to Downtown Partners. And took his Cayman with him??

Chris is a copywriter in Minneapolis. Since his last post on MC (07.11.11), he spent two years at EnergyBBDO in Chicago, one year at Zambezi in Venice Beach, brought a new little Yocum into the world, and moved back home to Minneapolis. That’s some stuff! Time for an update.

Since his last post on MC three years ago (08.24.11, has it been that long?), Ryan’s moved back to the States—after 6+ years in Shanghai—and put together a new Cargo site with killer work all over it. Time for an update!

Cole is a copywriter at The Lacek Group in Minneapolis (and a friend of MC, big ups Cole!). His book includes a student section from his days at Brainco, plus a whole bunch of headline-centric print for DuPont’s Pioneer, a big-time ag account. Nice stuff.

Chris is a new copywriter at Solve in Minneapolis. MC had the pleasure of having Chris in a class at Brainco (back when MC was in Minneapolis), and not only is he one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet, he’s also something like 6’8″. Or maybe it just seemed like it. Anyway, congrats on the new gig, Mr. Hill. Well done.

Cassie is a copywriter at space150 in Minneapolis. She’s gone and done it. The very first Pinterest portfolio on MC. And you know what that makes her? The winner. Nice.

Lee is a copywriter at Colle+McVoy in Minneapolis. His site is titled “THINGS I WRITE:” and his work is organized in categories that finish the sentence – “on bus shelters” and “on jumbotrons” and “for osteoarthritic canines.” Makes you want to click on all of them, just to see what’s what. Fun.

Ryan is an American copywriter in Shanghai. (Sounds like a movie to MC.) Midwestern guy studies at Brainco in Minnesota. Works at Mullen for a year. Ships off to China. Quickly becomes an award-winning Creative Group Head at Ogilvy & Mather Shanghai. In a world …

Dan is a senior copywriter at Leo Burnett Chicago. If you ever want to know anything about Kellogg’s Raisin Bran Crunch, Dan is your guy. Check out his print campaign for Econo Lodge. One of the best things a writer can do for a brand is help it be honestly self-depricating. Nice.

Chris is a senior copywriter at FAME, and splits time between Minneapolis and Chicago. Don’t misses: FAME Liquor Lounge, Crowdsourcing My Condo (awesome) and Groupon (love it).

Matthew is a copywriter/ACD at Dentsu in NYC. His mother, Joan, describes him as follows: “Matthew grew up in a wood clapboard house near downtown Minneapolis. But, these humble beginnings belie his enormous talents. He sang in the Metropolitan Boys Choir and taught himself to play Scott Joplin’s “The Entertainer” on piano. He started wrestling at age seven and was city champion by age twelve. He endured thirteen years of public schooling and got along with just about everyone he ever met. Needless to say, his talents have only multiplied with age. He’d be an invaluable addition to any agency. And I’m not just saying that because I’m his mother. Did I mention he’s also handsome? Feel free to call me if you’d like to talk about Matthew some more. You can get my number from my wonderful son who, by the way, never forgets to call me.”

Casey is a copywriter at Publicis in Seattle. He’s got a new Cargo site and a bunch of new work on it, including the now world famous Erotic Bakery Boner Cupcake campaign thing social media grosstrosity. How can you not laugh? You just can’t. Not laugh.

Paula is a copywriter/CD at mono in Minneapolis, Fallon before that. She gets co-writing credit, along with Tom Sebanc, for the Holiday Inn campaign I mentioned in yesterday’s post. Just hilarious. The rest of her site is a gold mine: Blu Dot, Harvard, Sesame Street, so smart. But you absolutely have to read the print campaign for Kool-Aid (above). Pee-your-pants writing.

Rich is a senior copywriter at Mullen in North Carolina. The biz card above is so cool I wanted to feature it in his post, but it’s not really representative of Rich’s work. He’s a headline writer. A good one. That’s so rare these days, I feel like I should put it in all caps. ALERT. AWESOME HEADLINE WRITER.

Jon is a freelance copywriter in NYC, formerly at Amalgamated. Don’t misses: Rapcat for Checkers, Court TV outdoor, FUSE afternoon re-branding, and Clearblue Easy TV. So much awesome.

Casey is a copywriter who, in his spare time, founded and runs the creative blog/thing known as Superbeast. In his own words, “Superbeast Creative is a collaboration of advertising creatives, designers, artists, and musicians around the world. Ideally we would like this blog to be a meeting ground to discuss various things that are awesome. Join. Conquer!”
