Leonidas Anagnostou

Leonidas is a senior copywriter at Ogilvy Greece in Athens. (How fun is that? Fun.) All kinds of cool projects in his portfolio, including “Into The Unknown” for the Onassis Cultural Centre (above) and Instamagotchi, a virtual pet living that grows as you use social media—and tells you if it’s growing too fast. Think a few of us could use something like that. (Ahem.) Dig it.

John Wrend

John is a copywriter/ACD who recently moved to Portland, formerly at mcgarrybowen in Chicago. His site features projects that you have to see to believe. “All I Really Want For Christmas” by Kool-Aid Man and Lil Jon (above). An 11-hour Sausage Yule Log video for Jimmy Dean. Putting a new cord on an EGO String Trimmer while plummeting 120mph toward Earth. And that’s just three projects. Can’t wait to see where John lands!

Andrew Weissman

Andrew is a junior copywriter on the hunt for his next gig, formerly at Ogilvy NYC (who just laid off 80 peeps across the country). At Ogilvy, Andrew was part of a small team “developing high priority work for Instagram as Ogilvy was their first ever agency of record. Projects included coming up with the brand’s first tagline, creating brand campaign ideas, activations and innovative on-platform film content to engage teens.” Pretty cool. His site also includes spec campaigns for Scrubbing Bubbles, Dodge, Starbucks Bathroom Reviews, and Schick Edge (above). Hoping Andrew finds a new gig soon!

Erin Ahern

Erin is a copywriter at Ogilvy in Chicago. Her site includes projects for Modelo, Ball Park (above), Tyson Air Fried Chicken, Morton Salt, Jimmy Dean, and Grainger. Her Ball Park campaign uses classic baseball cards to celebrate the true heroes of the game—hot dog vendors. Because, hot dogs.

Andrew Jolliffe

duracell-1

Andrew is an independent strategic/creative copywriter/CD in Paris, after 26 years at Ogilvy, BBH, and leading his own shop. His site is in a blog format, so visitors can scroll through all of his projects on one page. Per Andrew, you’ll find: “Some work snippets. Not the full catalogue but an eclectic mix of  strategies, ads and content. Or if you like, a sweet-shop of flavours, colours and tones. After all, brands’ personalities depend on them.” Dig it.

Cameron Templeton

audible

Cameron is a copywriter/CD at 22squared in Atlanta. So many killer projects on his site for amazing brands like Patrón, Rolex, Toyota, SunTrust, Mountain Dew, Under Armour, Comic Con, Sony, and Audible (above). Don’t miss his Patrón VR bee, which tells the story of Patrón through the eyes of a bee “chasing an agave plant as it’s harvested and transformed into tequila.” Drone, Patrón, Mexico. Nice to meet you, best project ever.

Bowen Mendelson

coke

Bowen is a copywriter/CD in Atlanta, previously at Fitzgerald & Co., on the hunt for his next big thing. All kinds of killer projects on his site, including Huggies Baby Making Radio Station, a creepy spot for BP Driver Rewards (how the heck did they sell that through?), and 1,000+ unique songs for Coke’s 1,000 Name Celebration (including Jason, thank you very much). Love it.

Greg Kissler

ibm

Greg is a senior copywriter at Ogilvy NY. Since his last post on MC (back on 08.04.14, when he was a jr copywriter at Merkley+Partners), he’s been busy. All kinds of awesome projects for IBM on his site, including IBM Mobile, IBM Cloud (above), IBM Watson, and IBM Marketing. Plus a couple of projects for Mercedes-Benz. Plus some killer photography. Dig it.

Eduardo Vea Keating

mexicochicago

Eduardo is a copywriter/CD from Spain who’s been living and working in Chicago for the past six years—and is currently at DDB Chicago. Lots of cool outdoor and experiential stuff on his site, including projects for Mexico.com (above) and MINI (love the chairlift). Which makes sense, because he also has a second Behance site showing off his art, design and sculpture projects. Love it.

Cameron Day

bag

Cameron is a freelance writer/CD in Austin. He’s the son of Guy Day (co-founder of Chiat/Day) and the “PAST” page on his site is a who’s-who list of amazing clients and agencies. Clicking through his work, you see why—great writing all over the place. So what does MC choose to feature? A grocery bag, of course! It just perfectly sums up what a copywriter’s portfolio should be about. You may spend 30 years writing the hell out of everything from Super Bowl TV to Rolling Stone print, but in the end it’s that grocery bag you nailed that makes it to the top. Great writing is great writing, no matter where it appears. Love it.

Colby Spear

upsglobal

Colby is a copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather NYC. Since his first post on MC two and a half years ago (01.23.15), after graduating from Miami Ad School, Colby has been busy—including a new site with all new projects for brands like Motorola, Kijiji, and UPS. There’s also a link to his student portfolio as it was back in the day. So cool to see what turned into what. Dig it.

He’s got a beautiful Squarespace site that shows off six brands/projects for Madison Reed, Bumble & Bumble, Dove, Interface, Jim Beam, and BP Stations. Dig it.

Andrew Payton

pop

Andrew is a copywriter/GCD at Story in NYC. Since his last post on MC (way back on 09.21.11), he’s got a new site, new gig, and a whole bunch of new work for clients like Verizon, Audible, Vevo, Google, Chapstick, and Mentos. Don’t miss his beautiful campaign for Popsicle (above) celebrating summer. Is it really almost over? How’d that happen so fast?

Andy Lewis & Stephen Giem

stephenandy

Andy Lewis is a senior copywriter in San Francisco. He’s work-married to senior art director Stephen Giem and they’ve consummated the relationship with a joint portfolio site that’s hilarious and all love. It links out to their individual sites, which is a great way to do it. The couple is asking for whiskey or gin in lieu of gifts, which you can send directly to MC.

Bowen Mendelson

oldlman

Bowen is a copywriter/CD at Ogilvy in Chicago, soon to be freelance in San Francisco. Since his last post on MC (01.14.13), he’s completely revamped his site and added a ton of new work, including brilliant 15-second Instagram vids for the Hemingway Foundation (above). Love ’em.

Stephen Lundberg

dennys

Stephen is a copywriter/CD at Ogilvy in NYC. Since his last post on MC (06.15.10), he moved to Ogilvy from Gotham and added a bunch of new work to his site—including the web series “Always Open” for Denny’s (above, from Gotham) with Dave Koechner, featuring comedians like Will Arnett, Amy Poehler and Sarah Silverman. Dig it.

Jenny Wagstaff

PageImage-491856-3757035-PageImage4918563551255HalfPrice1_tag

Jenny is a copywriter at Ogilvy in NYC, just over a year into it. Her book is in that part-student/part-produced stage that MC loves to see. Jenny’s got nine projects up on her site at the time of this post, three produced for UPS & Ferrari, Philips Norelco Social, and Big Ad Gig/Bully Prevention, plus six student campaigns. MC had no choice but to post a piece from her student campaign for Half Price Books, featuring The Cat In The Hat plus Gulliver’s Travels (originally titled “Travels into Several Remote Nations of the World. In Four Parts. By Lemuel Gulliver, First a Surgeon, and then a Captain of Several Ships” for the literary among us). “Two books for the price of one.” Nice.

Elizabeth King

db.bacon1

Elizabeth is a copywriter/ACD at Kirshenbaum in NYC. She’s got tons of awesome work for BMW all over her site, and that’s really what MC should have featured above. But then, as Elizabeth put it, “Diamonds are a copywriter’s best friend.” Don’t miss Wall Street Journal Print, with side-by-side ads for the BMW 6 and 7 … Sterling, Draper … so good.

UPDATE: Jason Corbin

hairitage_PROOFED6_small_1000

Since Jason’s last post on MC (10/07/11), he’s gone from mcgarrybowen to Razorfish to his current gig, copywriter/ACD at Ogilvy in Atlanta. (Nice.) His site is still Cargo, MC’s fave for CWs, but he’s got all kinds of new work up. Like Change Your Hairitage for Aussie, above.
