Simon Dolsten

bmwroadhome

Simon is a copywriter at KBS in NYC, previously at Momentum and SapientNitro. So many cool projects for BMW on his site, including The Ultimate Driver (competition to find the fastest driver in the US), Motorrad (awesome all-electric, self-balancing concept motorcycle), and The Road Home (above), two beautiful spots that say it all without saying a word.

Alex Basak & Tara Iannotti

subway

Alex (writer) and Tara (art director) are a creative team at 360i in NYC. Check out the animated series “How to Turn a Meeting into Eating” they made for the new Subway (above, featured on both of their sites), for which they did everything but the animation—including performing and recording the music, doing the voiceover, etc. Love that.

Casey Beck

bmw

Casey is a copywriter at RPA in Los Angeles. All kinds of killer projects for BMW on her site from her time at kbs+ in NYC. Don’t miss her new 360-degree music video for the Honda Civic featuring Moses Sumney (great track). NOTE: You need to watch it on Chrome or Firefox to get the 360-degree-ness. So fun.

Shloimy Notik & Chad O’Connell

Sizzle_Steam720

Shloimy is a copywriter at 360i in NYC. He shares a site with creative partner/art director Chad O’Connell. Together, they’ve launched a real dating app for bacon lovers called Sizzl (Oscar Mayer, client) that’s been getting all kinds of crazy press. It’s hot. It’s fresh. It’s crispy. MC is in love.

Stephie Coplan

fiveguys

Stephie is a junior copywriter at kbs+ in NYC. Before advertising, she was in Stephie Coplan & The Pedestrians, a band that charted #15 on the rock radio in 2012 with “JERK!” So what do you get when you combine advertising and rock n’ roll? For one thing, the best on-hold music track ever. Don’t miss the song Stephie wrote, produced and performed for Windstream (telco in Little Rock, AK). Dig it.

Chris Wernikowski

Magic Eraser 2

Chris is a junior copywriter at kbs+ in NYC, five months into it. (He’s also a surfer, which once again goes to prove MC’s theory that surfers, drummers and comedians make great copywriters.) Right now, his book is mostly student work — but MC can’t wait to see what he adds from kbs+ this year.

Elizabeth King

db.bacon1

Elizabeth is a copywriter/ACD at Kirshenbaum in NYC. She’s got tons of awesome work for BMW all over her site, and that’s really what MC should have featured above. But then, as Elizabeth put it, “Diamonds are a copywriter’s best friend.” Don’t miss Wall Street Journal Print, with side-by-side ads for the BMW 6 and 7 … Sterling, Draper … so good.

Shloimy Notik

6

Shloimy is a copywriter at kbs+ in NYC. He shares a site with creative partner/art director Chad O’Connell. At the time of this post, they’ve got six projects up on their site — but all six are great and that’s what counts. Like their spot for AdCouncil/AdoptUSKids. Is that real mayo??? Ugh.

Elizabeth King

Elizabeth is a senior copywriter at Kirshenbaum NYC. She’s got a ton of killer stuff for BMW up on her site, plus De Beers, Starz, Smirnoff, Wendy’s, awesome. From her Elizabeth King • Copywriter page: “Advertising is not for those who like things winded. Long copy is dead. We’re no longer writers, we’re thinkers, right?” Hmm, wonders MC. Writers = thinkers. Maybe there just aren’t any readers left?

Will Bright

Will is a copywriter/CD at Kirshenbaum in New York. So much killer work in his book, including a ton of stuff for BMW. His site is Cargo, and is broken out into six categories: Latest Work, Branded Content, Web, TV, Print/OOH, and Case Studies. Interesting, because you can view the work by media (old school) or by case study/campaign (new school) or just check out the latest. All in six links. Very cool.
