Copywriter Wanted: Pyro, Dallas

“Pyro, a 25-year old Dallas-based agency, is searching for a creative, resourceful, self-starting copywriter to work on all accounts. Think you could’ve done a better job writing this ad? Then light a fire! Let’s see that portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Concepting the big idea
  • Writing everything from post copy and menu copy to TV scripts and T-shirts
  • Presenting work both internally and externally
  • Being an effective and supportive collaborator with our art directors and designers
  • Helping win new business 

Requirements

  • Two to five years of agency experience
  • Strong portfolio with several of social/digital examples
  • Experience concepting and producing social, digital, radio, and video/TV
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising or related field preferred

Graham Davis

Vickknesh is a copywriter at Leo Burnett in Kuala Lumpur. (How cool is that?) The first project in his portfolio for Jacob’s, the original Malaysian cream cracker, celebrates other Malaysian originals by laser-cutting their likenesses into 1,500 crackers. First, watch the video. Then, watch the making-of video right below it. That’s a lot of crackers.

Aste Gutiérrez

Aste is a copywriter/CD at TBWA\Chiat\Day in NYC. Every once in awhile, a portfolio comes MC’s way that isn’t just good—it’s on another level. From the second you hit the homepage it’s like, oh no, this is what a portfolio is supposed to look like. (What have I been doing with my life??? Arrrg.) Aste’s site is one of those. All kinds of killer projects for clients like Nike, Nissan, Sharp, and Coke while working at agencies like TBWA, BBH, AKQA, and Fred & Farid. Conner Schrock

Conner is a new copywriter in Los Angeles, a recent graduate of Chicago Portfolio School, and currently interning at BBH in LA. Love to see a new copywriter’s book filled with real-deal headlines—and Conner’s site has a ton of them for clients like Harley-Davidson, Dunkin’ (funny idea with misspelled Starbucks cups), Omaha Steaks (above), Jeni’s Ice Cream (super cute idea), plus a long copy campaign for ALDI.
