Lawrence O’Toole

Lawrence is a copywriter/creative director at Full Contact in Boston. His last post on MC was almost 10 years ago (back on 10.12.2015), so he’s wayyy overdue for an update.

Recently, Lawrence took a mobile-first, social-first approach to his portfolio, putting it on Instagram rather than a traditional portfolio site platform. From Lawrence: “I love how easy it is to flip through a carousel and have everything auto play.” Ditto!

Don’t miss Lawrence’s first Super Bowl spot, featuring Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo, slinging coffee with Nikki Glaser and Michael Rapaport, and the escape room he made out of a tiny house to promote awareness for Alzheimer’s. Dig it.

Alan Snider

cme

Alan is a senior copywriter at Avenue in Chicago and a student at Second City Training Center. If MC could start MC over, there’d be a tag for copywriters who’ve had experience with Second City—and it would probably be one of the more popular tags. So many great copywriters have stand-up and comedy writing experience, which makes so much sense.

Nick Speno

wishing

Nick is a senior copywriter at H&L Partners in St. Louis. Lots of writing for McDonald’s and Missouri tourism on his site, including the above TV campaign of super slow-mo wishes. Speaking of slow-mo, don’t miss Nick getting pelted with water balloons in his Contact & Experience page. Good times.

Vera Springett

goldstar

Vera is a creative lead/ACD at Avenue Marketing & Communications in Chicago, previously in-house at University of Phoenix. Lots of the work in her portfolio is collateral/digital that’s more informational than marketing, which means that there’s lots and lots of writing. Which is what lots of lots of companies are looking for in a copywriter, you know?

Mark Fulara

car

Mark is a copywriter at Avenue in Chicago. Branding Clarke company cars with a line that communicates both why the person driving the car is spraying chemicals and environmental friendliness is no easy task. But Mark’s line, “Love the Earth. Not mosquitoes.” is pretty much spot on. Especially if you’ve lived anywhere there are lots of mosquitoes. Hate. Mosquitoes.
