Laura Smith

Laura is a journalist-turned-copywriter and is often called a “writer’s writer.” She takes it as a compliment.

She’s always been someone who has gravitated towards words: as a kid, writing songs on the playground, and now, as a full-grown kid, writing professionally as a copywriter for outdoor and lifestyle brands —and personally on her first novel, which she promises to finish.  

She specializes in bringing campaigns to life from concept to launch, crafting the perfect social caption, writing manifestos, and spinning on headlines. She has had the opportunity to work for brands like The North Face, Arc’teryx, Osprey, Chubbies, and Kari Traa, and with the agency happylucky, working with clients like adidas and Spikes Under the Lights.  

She loves flexing her creative muscles by taking improv classes and writing her Substack, the Not Spam Newsletter, and her actual muscles by training for half-marathons with a goal to complete one in every state.
